My tribute to the best living punk band on the planet, NOFX. With this project, which is for a album cover competition, I challenged myself to complete a scene within one week. Displayed are the renders from my daily workflow, in reverse order. An average work day was 8.5 hours.
DAY 6: Lighting of final render
Fat Mike: Bass & Lead Vocals (DAY 6)
DAY 6: Eric Melvin: Lead Guitar Backup Vocals (DAY 6)
EL Hefe: Guitar, trumpet, voices, and backup vocals (DAY6)
Smelly on Drums (DAY 6)
DAY 5: The band rigged and posed in scene with props
DAY 4: The band retopology, UV wrapping and materials added
DAY 3: Heads UV unwrapped and painted. Hair particles added, but later removed in final renders
DAY 2: Modeling of all hard surface objects complete
DAY 1: Sculpting of the band complete
It's a good feeling when the real person from the band likes your model of him.
